Read: 2 Corinthians 9:10-15
Do you ever worry about not having enough, not doing enough, not saying enough? Sometimes we behave as if what God can do through me is limited to what I can provide. However God makes a clear promise in these verses that He will enrich us in every way so that we can be generous in every way.
God's grace will never run dry. He will supply us with overflowing generosity. That generosity isn't meant to be hoarded; it's meant to be given. God’s generosity to us should spill out to those around us. We will never have to worry about giving enough or being good enough because God's grace poured out to us will never run out.
In 2 Corinthians 9:13 Paul writes, “By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others.”
What God can do through us is not limited to what we can provide. We have a Greater Impact only when we live in obedience, trusting in His provision and sharing generously all that He has given — and continues to give — to us.
As you pray today, reflect on the following:
1. What are the biggest areas of weakness in your own life?
2. Do you ever feel like people want more from you than you have to give?
3. “God has given us everything we need to do all He has asked us to do.” Knowing this, is there anything you might currently be doing that God hasn’t asked you to do? Anything that is consuming your time, your finances, your energy wastefully?
4. In what ways is Jesus asking you to be generous?
