God speaks truth.
“…All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.”

KERNELS OF TRUTH
Read Psalm 119:151 together and talk about some of the unwavering truths God has set in place to guide us.
Make some popcorn. Make false popcorn by crumpling small pieces of white paper into the shape of popcorn. Set two empty bowls on a table near the TV. Set the false popcorn and the real popcorn on the table.
Then do this:
Munch on the real popcorn as you watch a movie together. Ask everyone to listen carefully for attitudes or actions that aren’t in line with God’s truth. When something is portrayed in a way that’s not true to God’s Word, such as lying, hurting someone, or not controlling our anger, toss a false popcorn kernel into one of the empty bowls. When you see or hear something that is true to God’s Word, such as being kind, sharing, or helping, toss a true popcorn kernel into the other bowl.
Learn the sign for “true,” and discuss things that are true and good about God. Create a family signal that incorporates the sign. Use it to greet one another or to signal an alert when something is not in line with God’s Word.
Finally, compare the bowls at the end of the show and talk about the way God’s truth can be seen in our lives.
