In a world where we are often disappointed by others, we can develop a habit of only trusting ourselves.  We form this habit through years of trusting people, getting hurt and finding out we can’t trust them.  This causes us to believe; If you want something done right, we’ve got to do it ourselves.  If you don’t ask anyone for anything or open your heart to them, they can’t hurt you. This mindset can keep us from trusting God. In Habakkuk, we see God’s answer doesn’t make sense to him and he is challenged to trust God when God’s answer isn’t the answer the prophet was looking for.
