Mary Christmas

Emmanuel. “God With Us.” Have you ever taken time to ponder this incredible truth? God is with us. We don’t often think about what this meant for those in the Nativity story. Take Mary, for example. “God with her” meant infinite blessing and undeserved favor, but it also meant her entire life would change. It means the same for us. When God is with us, we have favor we don’t deserve and our lives are no longer our own. Everything is different. We may face trials and difficulty. We can lose friends and be dismissed by family. We’re taken beyond our comforts and into the realm of the unknown. But it’s worth it. HE is worth it. God is with us.
