We live in a world of darkness and uncertainty. Every day, there is news of yet another great tragedy or threat. These things are unsettling...and perhaps that’s a good thing. We need to be unsettled. The Church has become comfortable and complacent, forgetting that we are called to be Light in this dark world. Instead of shining as a city on a hill, we instead cover the light with baskets of indifference, fear and “tolerance.” God has placed us in this world at this time to show people who He is - to bring the light of the Gospel to those who have been blinded by darkness.
