Flesh and Blood

We are all consumers. Americans constitute 5% of the world’s population, yet we consume about a quarter of the earth’s resources. We want what we want and we want it now. We consume food, clothing, cars, products, and media. We even consume church. Jesus doesn’t cater to the consumer, but instead calls us to “feed on His flesh” (righteousness) and “drink of His blood” (forgiveness). He cares much more about what we need than what we might want in any given moment, and we can trust Him to know the difference. No matter what we’re going through, what challenge we’re facing, or what problem we’re trying to fix – our only true need is Jesus. Only His flesh and blood can give us our greatest need: True Life.
