What does Jesus think of our churches today? When He walked this earth, He made it clear that He opposed the religious system that had institutionalized and commercialized worship. Would He oppose us, as well? It seems at times that the true worship of God has been replaced by a lesser substitute that looks similar, but lacks substance. Things look right, but lack radiance. We offer sacrifices that aren’t really sacrificial. The message of the Cross - the message of the Cost - has been lost. In many ways, we are in need of a good “House cleaning.” We must remember that those in this world who are spiritually dead are in need of just one thing: Life. This is the greatest and only acceptable thing we can offer them, but we can’t offer what we don’t have ourselves. Do you have the Life that Jesus gives?
