As Paul is in prison awaiting possible execution, he writes the letter of Philippians to the church in Philippi. He reminds them that God is in control and whatever happens to Paul it is for the advancement of the gospel.
Philippians 1:21 Says: “For me to Live is Christ and to die is gain.”
“To live is Christ” means that Christ is our focus, our goal, and our chief desire. Christ is at the center of our mind, heart, body and soul. Everything that we do is for Christ’s glory.
“To die is gain” shows us Paul’s complete confidence is his own salvation through Christ and his desire to be with Christ in heaven.
Can we as followers of Christ honestly say that this is our Ambition, our Approach to life and our Attitude towards our own difficulties?
