It’s not good to be alone. We can’t really grow as disciples of Jesus without living in true Christian community. While most of us like the idea of community, the reality is far more difficult. Human beings have a seemingly infinite capacity to irritate, annoy, disappoint and hurt each other. So, then: Is it really worth it? Although it can be hard at times, community brings many wonderful – and even vital - things to our lives. We can accomplish much more together than we can on our own. When we fail or fall, others are there to help us and lift us up. When we suffer, we have comfort; when we’re attacked, we have protection; when we’re tired, we have support. Have you been struggling in your Faith? Are you discouraged? Do you feel you’re not really becoming more like Jesus? Stop trying to do it on your own. Take the step to belong to Community.
