“Follow your heart” sounds like great advice, until your heart leads you somewhere you never should have gone. While feelings are real, they aren’t always right, and they were never meant to be our ultimate guide. God calls us to follow him, not our hearts. This means trusting his Word over our feelings and being grounded in his never-changing truth instead of our ever-changing emotions.
